Pantai Hospital Ayer Keroh Cardiovascular Unit offers a wide range of non-invasive and invasive diagnostic procedures as well as interventional procedures for coronary disease, valve disorder, structural heart disorders and arrhythmias.
Our team of competent Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and Anesthesiologists, supported by trained nurses and perfusionists, undertake in excess of 1,500 diagnostic and coronary interventional procedures per year, including coronary angioplasty and primary angioplasty for acute heart attacks.
In June 2019, Pantai Hospital Ayer Keroh performed the first transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in the Southern Region of Peninsular Malaysia.
Our Cardiovascular Unit is fully equipped to perform non-invasive procedures which include echocardiogram and coronary computed tomography angiogram (CTA) as well as implantation of pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) and Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy (CRT).
In addition, our cardiac catheterisation laboratory uses the latest invasive diagnostic tools including intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and fractional flow reserve studies (FFR) where appropriate, to guide interventional procedures.
